The God.
If the God is perceived as super human being, who is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, who is immortal and ruler of the universe, who is the ultimate adjudicator of individual’s right or wrong actions, and who is the ultimate personality to reward or punish for the right or wrong action, then he does not exists for me.
But if one conceives him as super natural force, responsible for creation and maintenance of whole complicated universe, who is also responsible for micro synergy between all living and non-living objects, who is conceived as some mystic force, responsible for maintaining acute synergism and co-ordination between millions of stars, plants and galaxies on this universe, then I really believe in his existence.
The Religion
Religion is nothing but the conventional blueprint for living the life.
Survival and the reproduction are the basic characters of each living being. Unlike animals, the Homo-sapiens feel incomplete without the love and warmth from other human being. Homo-sapiens started living in the groups to satisfy their hunger for human warmth, and to protect themselves from expected future dangers. The group living was the first step towards the formation of society and culture. Homo-sapiens also realized that there is some unknown natural and powerful force which has considerable effect on their way of life. So they started respecting that unknown force. That was the first step towards the belief of God.
Each religion has two definite gears. The first and more impotent is its perception of God’s image and his power over human being. The specific and unique perception of God becomes the basic foundation, on which whole structure of the religion is built. The religious heads, preach regularly to their followers, regarding the perceived image and power of the God. They also prescribe various rituals, which are supposed to please the God and to get his maximum favor.
The second component the religion prescribes the rules which are meant for maintaining the unity and harmony for that specific social structure. The second component has given birth to different communities on this earth.
Most of the ordinary followers are unable to understand the basic philosophy of that religion, so they blindly follow the rituals. With the passage of time those rituals become central pivot around which all the religious activities rotate. The basic philosophy of that religion is replaced by mechanical and meaningless rituals.
It seems that the so called religions have divided the whole man kind in to different religious groups. It is great surprise that even the basic philosophy of almost all religion is love and humanity; though maximum numbers of human beings were killed in the wars, which were fought with the intention to spread the message of love and humanity.
I hate the religion, which create rift and feeling of hard feelings, between two human beings.
Spirituality and not the religion should be the guide to show the real path of love and humanity to the mankind.
Spirituality
The spirituality can be defined as the fundamental and natural behavior of the spirit. Any living organism has its I-consciousness in addition to his cellular physical body. Cellular physical body is the collection of millions of living cells, which form various organs, which ultimately form various systems to form one whole living object. Each system has its specific function, like digestion, circulation, respiration, excretion etc. Co-coordinated efforts of all the systems leads to ultimate goal of survival.
All these complicated and complex activities of the physical body are run and coordinated by the live force which is known as I-consciousness or spirit or atman. This spirit can be compared with the driver of the car. Car is a complicated machine; there are different systems like, petrol supply, electric supply, gears, shock absorbers etc. The car is very efficient machine, but it can not run without driver. Same way the physical body of the living organism can not function without the presence of Atman or spirit. The spirit is not only the coordinator, but it is also the source of vital energy. So the physical body can not survive in the absence of that spirit. Absence of the spirit leads to death of physical body.
That unique live force or spirit is I-consciousness present in each individual. The feeling of I-ness is fundamental, deep rooted and strong feeling. That feeling gives identity, individuality, and uniqueness to the person.
That individual and unique live force is in fact the fractional continuation of universal live force. As such all the living objects on this universe are connected with this universal live force by some invisible link. It is like the tidal wave of the ocean. Each tidal wave is separate and unique, even though it is basically part of the ocean. In Hindu philosophy the individual spirit is known as Atman, and universal spirit is known as Paramatman. It is said that the Paramatman sits in every body’s heart.
The primary, fundamental and natural characters of the spirit are collectively grouped as spirituality.
Each individual spirit is linked with the universal spirit with some unknown bond, and through the medium of universal spirit, it is linked with other living spirits. So by nature it likes to love and to be loved by other spirits. Love is the natural character of each living organism. Live and let live is the natural feeling of each individual. No sane person would like to kill or hurt other individual without any sensible reason. On the contrary normal person is always sympathetic and compassionate towards the sufferings of other living being. We are always sensitive towards sick, injured and weak persons. We never like to hurt innocent persons. Not only that but we get deep internal pleasure when we help those who are suffering. This is because there is natural and inborn pull towards other spirit. This character is collectively known as humanity.
The second natural character of the spirit is independence. The spirit or I-conscious is basically decision maker. He takes all the decisions during his life time. Bing the driver of the car, he likes to drive the car as per his own wish. He may take his car to final destination or he may take his car in wrong direction, he may drive the car on comfortable roads, or he may drive on rough road. He is the final authority. He is also the final authority as far as his own life is concern. His decisions may not be always correct. He may have to suffer for his wrong decisions, but he is always happy to take independent decisions. The feeling of independence is so strong that sometime he prefers to select tough and dangerous path in his life, for the sake of independence. If he has to sacrifice his independence, because of certain unavoidable external forces, or for the sake of getting physical comfort, or for the sake of getting some material gain, or for the sake of more security in life, internally he will never be happy to loose his independence.
Purity is the third basic character of the spirit. The spirit is pure and unique in nature. The same purity is exhibited in the in the behavior in the form of honesty, sincerity, and truthfulness. The spirit being pure tries to preserve its purity. That is why it resists hypocrisy. It is comparatively easy to be true to the desire of spirit. That is why those who are integrated in their thoughts, speech and actions are more calm and tranquil than those who are not integrated. This purity of the spirit is polluted by the different colors of selfishness. The children are more calm and tranquil because they usually follow their spiritual urge. They are comparatively more affectionate, integrated, and independent by nature. Whenever we perform certain actions which are contrary to the basic nature of the spirit, internally we don’t like it. Our conscious does not approve such actions.
In short humanity, integrity and independence are the basic nature of the spirit. And spirituality means following the basic nature of the spirit in life. As such these three characters are the basis for all the religions on the earth. But purity of religions is polluted by adding number of meaningless rituals, rules and regulations for the followers of that religion.
So not the religion, but the spirituality should be the guiding factor for leading happy and tranquil life.
